Welcome To Hachidori Studio
Meet
Lori-Michele Emerson
I’m an artist living and working in downtown Larkspur. As an art restorer I’ve worked with many materials and have gained an insight and sensitivity to a variety of fine art. Being especially drawn to Japanese aesthetics and their reverence of nature has inspired and influenced what I create through painting, wood-block printing, sculpting and collage.
Several years ago, I began the rewarding practice of teaching private art classes to children and adults at the studio. I’m on a mission to help keep the visual arts alive and thriving in our community.
Contact me directly to inquire over my paintings, restoration services, classes, commissions and collaborations.

For the past 20 years I have had the interesting career of repairing and restoring a variety of fine art for art dealers and private collectors. Spanning the spectrum of 18th century Japanese screen paintings to mid 20th century oil paintings, I have revived pigments, mended holes and tears, stabilized flaking and inpainted losses. I have also renewed many kinds of both antique and contemporary sculpture from wood to concrete, glueing, painting, gilding, polishing, sealing.
